Welcome To My Space

About Me

I am an educator, academic administrator, writer, and campaigner for reading culture in Nepal. For more than two decades, I have worked in teaching, academic management, and educational administration at different levels, from early childhood education to higher secondary education.

I believe that education should be practical, innovative, value-based, and useful in everyday life. My work focuses on improving educational quality, developing teachers, strengthening student leadership, and creating an effective academic environment.

I have introduced structured reading programmes such as DEAR (Drop Everything and Read) to develop reading habits among children. I also encourage discipline, creativity, responsibility, and leadership through teacher orientation, student activities, and school leadership programmes.

As a writer, I regularly share my thoughts on education, child psychology, parenting, motivation, social values, culture, good governance, and contemporary issues through leading Nepali media platforms. My vision is to awaken a desire for knowledge in every child, plant the seed of reading culture, and create an educational environment that supports knowledge, character, and lifelong learning.

Reading Culture

—–An inspiring experience: A boy who read 60 books a year—–

When I first heard Sudesh Dotel, the manager of Bookland, share an inspiring story about students reading up to 40 extracurricular books through the joint efforts of schools and parents, I was amazed. However, when I experienced it firsthand as a school leader and a parent, seeing my own son read 60 books throughout the year while studying in grade 6 in the year 2082 BS (2025/2026), it was hard to believe even for myself.

The reality is that whether traveling or waiting at the airport, the joy he experiences from continuously seeking out and reading books by his favorite authors is truly distinct. Nevertheless, as constantly purchasing physical books has started creating a financial burden, the time has come to encourage him to read digitally by purchasing a ‘Kindle’.

Our Reading Culture

Reading develops knowledge, imagination, discipline, and critical thinking. This page highlights my efforts to promote reading habits among children, teachers, and communities through initiatives such as DEAR(Drop Everything and Read) and other literacy-focused activities.
